Disney Collection

Ok, so for those of you who know me pretty well know that I am a huge Disney fan. I am about to prove this with the following picture of my bookcase full of Disney snowglobes. When I was in high school my mom gave me my first disney collectible, I also get a new Disney Ornament for the christmas tree as well. I digress as to why I am actually writing this blog though, a couple of years ago I bought a book case that I intended to use for books, but in reality I have been using to display my disney collection. Well my great bookcase is falling apart and I am worried that one day it will give away and all my disney stuff will break.

So Shandis and I are off to Ikea today to look and see if we can find a new bookcase.

The things I have Learned in 2008 and Things I hope to Learn in 2009

I spent most of 2008, thinking that my best friend from high school was in love with me and we would be getting married, what I learned instead was that he was married. I also learned that I am tougher than I thought because I didn't let that beat me. I know that my friends have played such a huge part of that. On the days that it could have gotten me down, all I had to do was call them and then go do something silly or crazy fun. There are times when I miss what could have been, but I am learning that it is his loss and not mine.

I learned to trust the holy spirit. That with the spirit on your side you and do anything.

I read that you should spend time with people under 6 and over 70, well I have the under six part covered. My friend Shandis's kids Xavier and Isabella are two of the cutest kids on the planet. It is hard to be around them and not laugh till you cry.

The things that I plan for 2009:
1.) Sky Dive on my birthday
2.) Clean out my room
3.) take a cooking class
4.) work on learning a new language.
5.) Enroll in school in September.

My wish for 2009 is to just be healthy and happy and to enjoy life to the fullest.

Pumpkin Spice Roll

Ok, so when I lived in Idaho with my sister and her family, she taught me how to make a pumpkin spice cake, its really easy it is a spice cake mix and add a can of pumpkin to it. I make it a lot for the guys that I work with cause it can feed a lot of people.

So right before Thanksgiving my friends and I went to an activity at chruch, where we saw a pumpkin spice roll, with cream cheese filling, it was so yummy. So I thought that I could make it for thanksgiving, only that didn't really work out. So I fianlly made it and here is how it turned out. i am very proud of this fact cause it was home made from scratch. No box cake mix was involved.

Christmas in Walt Disney World

I thought that I would share with you some of my favorite moments of my trip to Disney World. For those of you who don't know I am a huge and when I say huge I mean huge disney fan.
My mom and I left on Sunday at 5:30 a.m. to catch a 7:15 flight. As we started to take off it started to snow in Jersey, the plane ride was more than a little turbulent, so much so that as we landed the random stranger sitting next to me puked (yeah gross I know). When we landed in Orlando we found out that there was a tornado watch. After such an interesting start Monday thru Thursday turned out to be Sunny and decently warm. It wasn't swimsuit weather but it wasn't freezing cold exactly.

So here are some of my favorite pictures.

Figuring out Blogging and other technical things

So I just want to say that after 4 days of here and there trying to put music on my blog, I finally succeeded in putting music on my blog. YEAH....

I have spent the last 2 days at work, working with a new version of autocad. While I struggled with the little changes, I learned a really good lesson today. Trust in yourself no matter waht you do always believe in yourself and that you can do whatever it is that you put your mind too.

I was given the advice the other day, for every prayer that is said make sure that we say thank you for nine things. I am going to give that a chance.

Rickshaw cabs in New York City

OK, so I took my mom to see Wicked for her birthday and we decided to drive in to the city. I don't usually drive in the city, I am usually lucky enough that others drive. This time however I had to drive so I mapped out my directions to the theater, just to make sure that I would have a good idea as to where I needed to go, so with my mom reading the directions once we got into the city and let me just tell you that the directions I printed sent me in the complete opposite direction of where I needed to go.

But that is not my complaint about driving in the city, my complaint is the rickshaw cabs that have taken over the city. I just have to say it is hard enough to try and avoid not only the real cabs in NY and the pedestrians but to now have to avoid the rickshaw cabs as well is just insane.
It made driving in New York City even more crazy that it had been in the past, as well as making it just a little more stressful.

So I am saying hats off to my friends who are willing to drive in New York City.
Thanks All
